If there’s one thing I love it’s a list, especially a curated one with details on high quality long lasting items. This is a dive of all the items I’ve been loving over this summer, for various aspects of everyday use.
CLOTHES
ANONIE
A new take on a classic collared shirt, perfect for tucking into a crisp pair of trousers.
KOTN
Not only are linen shorts always in style, they’re perfect for breathability in these humid summers. I love the pleat in front of these and there are still many sizes available even with the sale.
Dal
I’m loving the white maxi skirts this summer and the wrap just adds more movement with the ties. Modal is one of my favorite comfort fabrics and the craftsmanship on this is exquisite.
The Wolf Gang
I hadn’t heard of this brand before and I have been pleasantly surprised, the options of high quality dresses are insane. The patterned bottom on this drop waist combines elegance with liveliness, which I find can be hard without introducing a lot of color so I’m really appreciating this.
Kai Collective
One of the trendiest pieces I’ll add to this list, but still lovely. This doesn’t have that bubble bottom skirt which makes me think it will be more long term than other similar designs.
PH5
Such a unique item that will be a show stopper at any event it’s worn to. This is definitely a piece that will remain in the closet for most of the year but will always be loved when it’s worn on special occasions.
Hill House
The epitome of classic, no exposed upper body, no cutouts, and pleats for flair. This will be purchased and cherished in my closet for many years to come.
SHOES
Paloma Barcelo
Summer sandals are cute almost everywhere you go but there’s a difference between brands just pushing trends vs. carrying about design. The wrap around jute on the heel and 100% leather details on this heel are testaments to thoughtful design.
ALOHAS
I am a big fan of fisherman sandals. Next to my favorites at Dear Frances these Alohas are the next best thing. The wrap about on the upper ankle is nice added feature as well.
ALOHAS
This might be a hot take but I find these more appealing than Sambas. The fringe and ribbon shoe strings are just 🤩, so feminine and fun for women of all ages.
BAGS
Tumi
This my number one pick as not only a work backpack, but also a travel backpack. I’ve been using the same backpack for work for over 8 years now and it’s finally given up. It’s a big investment but since I plan on using this bag the same as the last, I think it will be worth it. Plus, Tumi’s 5 year product warranty is something to look forward to as the bag starts to wear.
LaFlore
The second corporate girl backpack, a more affordable and sustainable option. Parisian inspired look with the snap close top, and it’s made from cork skin. I think through would be fun on lighter work days but not much for everyday use.
Twin Stitched
Not a part of my usual style, but when I saw Mia Maples review this brand I was immediately attracted to this bag. Not sure if it’s the ruffles or the pops of red with gingham print, but it’s adorable and I think this would be a great custom piece to add to my collection. I believe these are all one of a kind so no bag is like the other. A nice splash to spice up the basics, and I love to keep people on their toes.
MISCELLANEOUS
Heaven Mayhem
This may be biased but even since my Apple watch stopped working I’ve been on the hunt for a easy to style watch. I’ve seen a lot of vintage gold watches on sale but by the time you’ve clicked on the link it’s most likely sold out. So I’ve focused on relatively affordable watch brands and while they’re known for their earrings Heaven Mayhem also has a great watch. The best part are the interchangeable straps you can custom to match your outfits.
Memoire Archives
A few weeks ago my friend walked past me with the most divine scent. It was this, a light airy and somewhat sweet smell that literally reminds of sitting by the sea. Not a hot day, but a chilly sea day out in the West Coast or Maine.
Nuudi
This popped up as an Instagram ad for me but I’ve been wanting to get it for a while now. It’s a great medium choice for the days where you need support but not necessarily a bra. As someone who has plenty off-the-shoulder and one shoulder tops I find this exceptionally practical. Another perk is that they seem to be flattering on all chest sizes, I’ll have to try and let you know from my own experience though.
