I estimate Fall lasted for approximately three weeks before the frosty winds of Winter were beating against us outside alongside the snow. I don’t have many coats for this season but I find you don’t need many if you already have a solid base to select from. Here are some of my favorite pieces to use during these unbearable temps.
A Classic Brown Trench: I kept pulling this out once the leaves hit the ground, a bit prematurely but it wasn’t a long wait until I was layering it with my turtlenecks, gloves and scarves. This timeless style can be work up and down with simple styling changes and will last in your wardrobe for a lifetime.
The Bubble Coat: A staple in my closet for a couple of years now. I got mine from Alo Yoga in 2020, but the styles available now are more my style. For now, I still rock this jacket as my everyday coat when I’m running out of my house to an appointment or errands. The crop cut fits many of my outfits in my closet, but I can see myself drifting towards a floor-length Moncler or Canada Goose as the seasons get harsher each year.
The Fur Lined Aviator: 2022 AW RTW had many great coats like this to choose from on the runways. Some of my favorites came for KNWLS, Longchamp, and MONSE. This is such a classic design style and when they go out you always know they will be back very shortly.
A Leather Trench: I like to call this the matrix coat, always in style and always chic. My favorite version of this coat for everyday use comes from Apparis, their Natalia jacket, has been a favorite of mine for about a year now, and all I’m waiting for is more space in my closet before I scoop one for myself.
