Ending Summer on a High Heel: Rating My Fave Summer Shoes for Effortless Style

Aerial image of shoes formed in a circle on oakwood flooring.

From the shoes I wore on quick grocery runs to the shoes I wore on those endless summer nights, get ready to take strides in your shoe style.

Helsa Studio: Pin Heel Mule

In May, retired Victoria's Secret angel, Elsa Hosk, dropped her first shoe line for her brand Helsa Studio. This pin heel design aligns her identity of timeless, chic, and feminine styles. The raffia weave gives a summer essence while the tan and black contrast makes for easy styling. A medium-low heel height pair perfectly with the oversized jeans or long dress pant, and help dress up your day to night look.

Maison Margiela: Tabi County Loafer

Not for those scared to draw attention, these loafers offer a new twist on a favored silhouette. The hoof like appearance on the toes is jarring at first, but the more you look you can't help but admire them. Durable leather and thick soles are easy to clean and give an appreciated height boost. The lack of branding and embellishments is key, simplicity at it's finest with a flair.

Vince Camuto: Praiyani Sandal

Where can one go wrong with a plain black leather strap sandal. These have been the easiest shoe to grab when stepping out for a quick errand. Comfortable, versatile and essential to pull together your lazy girl outfit. Think of them as an elevated flip flop.

Dear Frances theo sandal in black

Dear Frances: Theo Sandal

For the girls that got called tom boys and never really grew out of it. These are my favorite dad sandals to wear on a day where you know you'll be outside. The fisherman design is another classic, but Dear Frances has theirs on a flat sole for casual occasions and thicker woven straps. This is a great item to carry in to the Fall season.

Magda Butrym flower sandal in black

Magda Butrym: Flower Sandal

The quintessential date night shoe. The exaggerated rose appliqué is what makes these shoes special. If you're not a fan of steep high heels, these may not be for you, but if you can stand the incline the romanticized look is stunning. Barely there thin straps to tie it all together for a dainty feminine finish.

Summer may be over, but the great thing about building a timeless style is that the pieces can be worn throughout the year. Who else is ready to take on Fall in these styles?
