December Favorites

The new year has come and the first 10 days have been a good start. I've been feeling hyperfocused on goals for 2023, but I can't start the year without finishing with my favorites for the last couple of months. Since I took a mini unannounced break, it's only fair I come back with double my favorites from November and December.

I'm officially in my mid-20s and my skin is starting to show it. I've been holding off on retinol until I felt I needed it and it's looking like 2023 is finally the right time. I’ll be looking into this retinol or testing some more throughout the year.

With the stress from balancing school, work, and side hustles my skin was falling apart throughout last semester. Glow recipe has been hyped for some time now and I was hesitant because their products are scented, but this seems to be one of the few that isn’t. I have very sensitive skin, so here's to hoping this product works well for me.

This year has a bit of travel in store for me and the one thing I've been planning to get done on these trips is read. With limited space, I think a Kindle is a perfect tool to save room in your house and luggage. I also like the idea of privacy that a Kindle offers because sometimes I just don't want the entire world to know I'm reading Colleen Hoover smut at 1:00 pm on a Tuesday.

If you read my post on The Birkin Revival’ then this should come as no surprise. I’ve been seriously considering saving up and buying a used version of this long-time classic bag. The slouched look has been a big appeal and I’m a huge supporter of this stylizing of the Birkin.

This month’s TikTok product has to be the Glossier Unltralip. The sultry shine and lack of stickiness is perfect for everyday use, The color range is also phenomenal, making it welcoming for all skin colors.

Next month I leave for my first trip of the year, and I plan on getting some Paravel items for the trip. The sustainable sourcing behind the brand and the aesthetic is everything I've been living for as of late. While I'm not in the market for a new suitcase, their travel accessories have caught my eye.

I think I may have found my favorite designer for 2023. Every piece I have seen from this Australian-based designer has made me want to max out my credit cards. (I know, dramatic.) It’s a sexy youthful look with a touch of modesty, quite contrary to what is often marketed to young women.

I'm back on the hunt for my everyday earrings and I think Missoma is will be the first stop on my list. Their name has been tossed around for a few years and after a recent scroll on their site, they have some great-looking pieces that I will be getting, look out for a full review soon.

They are well outside of my comfort range in price for shoes, but I’d 100% get these if I could. Upon close inspection you can tell these shoes are only good for a 1-2 hour wear, the steep curve of the wooden heel and lack of middle and front padding tells me everything I need to know. But beauty is a pain sometimes, so I’d still give these a go.

I'm diving into young adult fiction on my journey to read more and expand my creativity again. I’m not one that likes to read books with modern references, but something about the gimmicky Gen Z drama felt relatable. I think I’m going to start adding book reviews here so there is definitely more to come on this book.
