I love covering what trends are in season, but even more than that I love shopping them. The truth is that while I can appreciate the beauty in every trend there are certain items that will always stand out to me during this season whether they're on trend or not. Here a few or my favorites that I bought on or are on my wish list to make the essential Fall wardrobe.
Mohair Scarf
If you can take the shedding of small hairs, mohair scarves are comfy and insulating. They also pair well for layering in the Winter.
Striped Wool Sweater
This oat/tan and black striped sweater combo is essential to any Fall wardrobe. They are staples and will always be a good fashion investment.
Trench Coat
Everyone needs a decent trench coat that will last in your closet for the rest of your life. My favorite trench is from Xenia Adont's, Attire the Studio, brand and it is heavy duty so well made, I can't wait to style it more as it gets colder.
Leather Gloves
Not everyone sees the value in a good pair of leather gloves, but they are usually the missing piece that takes a Fall and Winter outfit to another level without much thought.
Light-Wash Straight Jeans
Your pants for casual outings that pair with any oversized jumper or button down blazer.
Ballet Flats
Ballets flats are a trend that are universally loved right now. I added the picture of Tabi Ballerinas since these are my favorite pair of ballets in the market right now, they're controversial but they've grown on me.
Dark-Wash Bootcut Jeans
This an item I didn't see on the runways much, but I find bootcut jeans perfect for this time of year. Likely since they always pair well with my winter boots, hence the name.
Fur Hand Muff
This is item is a bit of a throwback, but it is too good to leave out. When I think of colder seasons it's hard to do that without the image of a fur hand warmer to match my cur coats.
Bangles
Just because our wrists are covered doesn't mean they can't be decked out. Bangles are great for stacking and look beautiful against or on the cuff of puffy sleeve sweaters.
Biker Boots
I have been loving the grunge contrast of a bike boot to a taupe oversized sweater. These especially pair well with short skirts and tights.
